Lyrics to "Pages"

The pages of my life are turning fast

The paper's crumpled and thinning

Sometimes I want to erase the past

But my history is winning

Time's begun to ease the pain

Like ocean foam leaves seaglass

The jagged edge of memories

Of choices once made in the past

I'm not the first one that time's made cry

And I will not be the last

As I wait for the world's reply

To the questions I couldn't ask

I read the chapters about my thirst

That urged me on when I was younger

Re-living every word of every verse

As I search my inner hunger

All the times of holding back

Reading lines I was given

A dusty corner with books I'd stacked

Hiding a soul so badly driven

Chorus

I keep waiting..

I'm still waiting...

I never asked...
